Sierra Madre Gives Back
A philanthropic organization that helps those in need.
Who We Help
Sierra Madre Gives Back is a philanthropic organization that also runs as a community relief fund that is benefits those that live, work or grew up in Sierra Madre CA. A community is made up by so much more than just current residents. I fully believe that once you live in a community you are always apart of it and people that work in town and contribute to our economy and society make up a big part of what a community is at its heart. I started this organization to help everyone that has significant ties to our town and needed some assistance during the Corona pandemic.
How We Help
Currently, we provide groceries for 3 families weekly and 9 families biweekly. Each family has approximately 4-6 members with the youngest child being 9 months old. Every week we supply non-perishables such as pasta, soup, tuna, rice, dried fruit, etc..
We also help by providing clothes, kitchen items, kids toys and much much more in the Sierra Madre Gives Back store. Its an E-ZUP in my backyard packed to the brim with donations. The families we help always have first pick, but after they have passed on the items they are open to anyone in the community that can use them.
How You Can Help
There are multiple ways to get involved. If you would like to donate money to our cause we accept venmo, paypal, zelle, apple pay and go fund me. I will list user names and links below. If you would like to donate food please contact me and I will give you the drop off location. Non-perishables are accepted everyday and perishables are accepted starting Thursday until noon on Fridays. This is to optimize fridge and freezer space. If you would like to volunteer your time, we always need delivery drivers. At the moment our delivery day is Friday but can fluctuate depending on schedules. You can also participate in one of our community events!
